Looking for ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day when you’re single? Well, there’s no reason to stay in the house, couples don’t have to have all the fun! If you don’t make plans, you’ll drown in the loneliness.
Have a Valentine’s Day Dinner Party
Invite your closest friends, cook together, drink wine and celebrate your independence. You can even take it back to childhood by playing board games and watching old movies.
Go to the nail salon and get a pedicure. Massage places usually have discounts on Valentine’s Day so you could get a nice, relaxing massage at a discounted price. If you’re feeling really fancy, you could get a facial. However, if your budget doesn’t allow that there’s no shame in having a spa day at home.
Plan A Trip
You could take a road trip with some of your friends that are single. If you have a beach or a lake nearby then that’d be the PERFECT place for a trip since there are so many things you could do and it’s inexpensive. Make sure you take a bunch of cute pics for Insta!
Host A Kick-Ass House Party
Bring it back to the early 2000s and host a house party with your friends on Valentine’s Day. Put some house music on a playlist or a CD if you’re really trying to take it back. House music, alcohol and snacks sound like a magical night to me!
Host A Nostalgia Night Party
Nostalgia Night can either be with movies or music. You and your friends can put together some hits from your childhood and just dance the night away.
On the other hand, you could purchase a subscription from Disney+ where you can spend the night building a fort, heat up some popcorn, and watch all of your favorite movies you liked as a child. That’s definitely a Valentine’s Day to remember!
Have A Movie Marathon With Your Favorite *Attractive* Actor/Actress
If you have a celebrity crush on Daniel Kuluuya or Idris Elba (Me 🙋♀️) you can binge-watch their movies/shows. It’s always a fun time when you watch movies with a hot guy or girl in them.
Sign Up For A Singles Subscription Box
There are all types of subscription boxes out there for the modern woman to choose from. The only subscription box I have personally subscribed to is Ipsy and Birchbox.
The awesome thing is there are subscription boxes that can make Valentine’s Day extra special for a woman even if you are single. There are boxes like SinglesSwag that are dedicated solely to single women and you can get it 30% off right now.
On Valentine’s Day shops will usually have sales. Even if you don’t want to actually spend your money, window shopping is still a thing.
Grab your gal pal and have a Galentine’s Day. You can go to a wine tasting near you. On that same note, if you have extra money make a road trip out of it. Drive to a nearby city like Nashville or Savannah and do a wine tasting there with your BFF.
Secret Gift Exchange
Secret Santa but on Valentine’s Day. This is the best way to celebrate and get the feeling of Valentine’s Day. Gather all your friends, even couples if you choose. Set a budget and exchange gifts with each other on that special day.
Spa Day At Home
If you don’t have friends or friends that live close to you that are single (same) this option is for you sis! Even though my wallet won’t allow me to go out, I’m gonna be living my best life on Valentine’s Day. Put on a face mask, order some Chinese food, and binge-watch Sex in The City.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
